Ski touring to the Tête des Raisins: fresh snow, wide-open slopes and surprisingly good visibility above the beautiful Freissinières valley.

After yesterday’s day of deep powder in the larch forest, we’re looking for slightly different conditions today. The weather window seems a bit more favorable, so maybe we can try a run outside the woods! It seems like the perfect day for a little pilgrimage to the Tête des Raisins.
We’re actually doing pretty well weather-wise. While the Queyras seems to be sinking into a foggy mess, we’re staying clear of the clouds, with visibility that’s actually pretty good... One slight difference from yesterday: no ultra-deep powder on this sunnier slope, but 10 cm of fresh snow on a hard base… much easier to ski on!
No sweeping views or breathtaking panoramas today, but skiing through these vast, unobstructed spaces, with the Freissinières Valley spread out below us, brings a few giggles of delight!
