Traversée Pointe Cézanne - Pic d'Arsine

With Nico and Eve, we brush up on crampon skills on Glacier Blanc, then traverse from Pointe Cézanne to Pic d’Arsine in a quiet corner of the Écrins.

Two roped mountaineers climb a steep snow slope near Pic d’Arsine.

Nico and Eve wanted to brush up a bit on the basics of cramponing and go on a nice hike in the Glacier Blanc area... Well, they picked the perfect time, with clear skies and superb snow conditions (which probably won't last too long...).

On the first day, we'll review the routes on the Glacier Blanc.

Not to mention the basics... we're struggling.

Pause en terrasse, avec des verres sur la table et les sommets des Écrins en arrière-plan.

The next day, we set off on the Pointe Cézanne–Pic d’Arsine traverse, which offered a delightful mix of couloirs, ledge-lined ridges, and steep snow slopes... Nothing extreme, and the conditions were beautiful, allowing us to enjoy each summit at a leisurely pace!

Two days of pure fun on a strangely deserted mountain. We're certainly not going to complain!
