With Paul and Alain, we reach the Dibona via the Soreiller ridges, enjoying beautiful rock and a mountain all to ourselves to round off our trip together.

The end of our stay with Paul and Alain…
With this perfect weather, the hardest part is choosing! And choosing inevitably means giving up other possibilities!
In the end, it might just be the sight of Lady Bona in this magazine, at the Refuge de la Selle, that will win our hearts…
How can anyone resist the elegance of this granite spire soaring toward the sky?
The ridges of the Soreiller leading to the Dibona
We're not really going to climb that beauty by taking the most direct and easiest route, are we?
We’re taking this opportunity to cross the western Soreiller semi-cirque, passing through its spires. It’s some really beautiful rock climbing—never extreme, but in a… fascinating setting!
A chance to review all the techniques of the perfect ridge runner.
A roller-coaster ride, starting with a climb up the Occidentale.
Then, after a nice descent, the climb back up to La Centrale, with some slightly tougher sections straddling Soreiller and Selle—a pillow under the saddle, and off we go!
The descent from La Centrale still requires our full attention, though that doesn’t stop Alain and Paul from punctuating the climb down with a few botanical observations! One last short hop takes us to the summit of the beautiful, much-coveted Dibona!! Today, the Soreiller cirque was all ours—not a soul in sight—and we truly appreciated this beautiful solitude!

A perfect week in good company! Thank you both for these wonderful moments!
