After two cracking days off-piste, I suggest Pierre and Nico give ski touring a go. We set off from Le Monêtier into the Fontenil valley, where I’m hoping we’ll find some shelter from the wind and a bit of powder to get our skis into…
Turns out we’ve picked pretty well! The skiing is great, apart from a few patches of wind crust that catch us out and send us, one after the other, deep into the snowpack.
