Day 1 — The final evening at the Écrins hut
It is the Écrins hut’s last evening of the 2013 season, after six months up here for the team!
My companions and I make the most of a perfect weather window and relatively few people. Lovely…
Day 2 — Roche Faurio at sunrise
Sunrise during the ascent of Roche Faurio is as spectacular as ever. I never tire of it!
The only thing missing is our omelette stop at the Glacier Blanc hut, which has already closed… That will have to wait until we are back in the valley!
