Marcelettes Point

With Guillaume and Manu, I swap ice climbing for ski touring on the Pointe des Marcelettes: an airy ridge and fresh powder in the French Queyras.

Guillaume and Manu on the snowy ridge of the Pointe des Marcelettes, with the Queyras mountains in the background.

A brilliant day of ski touring to kick off our little three-day trip with Guillaume and Manu. Originally, the plan was ice climbing, but with ice in short supply at the time, adapting comes first!

The Pointe des Marcelettes in the Queyras turns out to be a great choice: an airy summit and the Vallon du Châtelard largely untouched by ski tracks…
