Pierre and Clément join me for two more days in the Écrins, climbing rock on Pointe Estienne before enjoying a sunny ascent of Les Agneaux to ourselves.

After three days of introductory training, Pierre is extending his stay by two days to delve deeper into mountaineering!
We're joined by Clément, with whom I've already done a bit of running up the Alpe, whether on crampons or skis.
Day 1 — From the Rock to Pointe Estienne
We're starting with a rocky exploration hike for Pierre at Pointe Estienne, above the Glacier Blanc.
Our friend immediately shows a knack for adapting to rock climbing! The route does, however, include a short V-shaped overhang that will pose a bit of a challenge.
A full-fledged climb, with sections that are more or less vertical, a final section along a ridge, and a rappel to get down…
Day 2 — The Lambs, Alone in the Sun
The next day, we woke up at the crack of dawn to head for Les Agneaux.

It's a beautiful day, we're all alone, and my two companions are moving forward! A great day, all in all!
Practical Info / Route Topo
Day 1 — Pointe Estienne
- Pierre continues to explore mountaineering with Clément on the rock face of Pointe Estienne. A variety of pitches, a short V-shaped overhang, a ridge, and a rappel: a very full day!
Day 2 — The Ascension of the Lambs
- The Agneaux set out at dawn. The weather is beautiful, the mountain is deserted, and the rope team is making good progress. A wonderful day in the high mountains to continue the introductory course.
