Avec Jean-Luc et Marie, découverte du ski de randonnée au Glacier Noir : grand ciel bleu, décor des Écrins et descente sur une moquette de printemps.

Our second day of discovering ski touring with Jean-Luc and Marie. Today we’re heading to Glacier Noir, in the Écrins...
We put our skis on right by the car. Always a pleasant start! Before long, lovely sunshine catches up with us, with a little natural air conditioning drifting down from the glacier, all beneath a deep blue Hautes-Alpes sky. Perfect conditions!
We climb just above the little steep section separating the glacier’s two branches, to give our eyes a proper treat! The beauty of this place is truly striking, both for my companions, who are discovering it for the first time, and for me. I never tire of it!
On the descent, the steep section is still frozen, so we fine-tune our sideslipping: an essential skill for skiing all kinds of terrain! Then we let our skis run on perfectly softened spring snow across the broad Glacier Noir. What a pleasure!
The snow stays more than decent even lower down, allowing us to finish beside the car after a few pushes with our poles. Long live skiing!
Two very enjoyable days in your company. Thanks to you both!
