On a three-day ski tour in the Queyras, we go from spring corn to deep powder after an easterly storm, with a day around the Refuge de la Blanche.

For three days, I’m guiding a bunch of rowdy folks through the remote reaches of the Queyras. Each day is different from the next!
Day 1 — Beautiful weather and carpet
A first day with nice weather and carpet.
Day 2 — Around the Blanche Mountain Hut
A second day with changing weather conditions around the Refuge de la Blanche.
Day 3 — Powder snow as the easterly winds return in full force
A spectacular finale in powder made in Japan, right in the midst of the easterly return!
All of this was topped off with some great feasts, lots of laughs, and rock-solid team spirit. This job isn't always easy!
