With Pierre, I head ski touring on Cornivier and Sagnes Longues in the Queyras: three powder descents and a route that takes shape as the day unfolds.

When Météo France predicts gloomy weather and you wake up to a clear blue sky, it's a real treat!
Today we're heading out as usual without any real plan. Pierre doesn't even ask me about the plan anymore! We're going to check out the Sagnes Longues area to see what we can put together over there.
First, we head up toward Cornivier—it’s a no-brainer! We take in the view and watch the clouds dance across the sky!
There are two sets of tracks ahead of us in the first couloir we're descending, but there's plenty of room and the snow is incredible!
We head back out for a second run down a pristine couloir—still on the Cornivier—which more than lives up to its reputation! We make the experience last as long as possible by skiing as far down as we can!
Of course, after a pure descent, we’re ready for more! So we set out again, heading for Les Sagnes Longues—originally aiming for the small north couloir… but it had just been skied; the powder was still smoking!! In the end, I convinced Pierre to push a little further to the NW couloir… our efforts were rewarded with a perfect run from the summit all the way to the car!! We couldn’t have asked for more!
With that, all that's left for us to do is relax and take it easy for the rest of the day!
