Thomas and I take our fattest skis to Crévoux. After a few tumbles in powder, we venture farther from the pistes and get the larch forest to ourselves.
What a day! Thomas had a good feeling about this one. He wanted a big snow day and he got it! Armed with the fattest skis we could find, we head for Crévoux. The mission for the day: make it to the resort! The chaos down in the valley slows us down a bit, but we finally get into the pow!
It’s Thomas’s first taste of skiing the deep stuff. After a little time to get the hang of it and a few spectacular tumbles, the feel for it comes back. Little by little we venture farther from the pistes until we’ve got a larch forest all to ourselves, just made for skiing…
